Hammam & spa

The hammam ("?????" or "hot water bath" in Arabic), called Moorish bath (in reference to the Muslim Spain of Al-Andalus) and Turkish bath by Westerners, is a wet steam bath drawing its origins in the Roman baths. In its current form, the hammam has developed in the Ottoman empire, from north Africa to the Middle East (as in Syria) thanks to the expansion of Islam. It is therefore a bathing establishment.
